2011 LLYNC-SAPESI Mobile Library Project

LLYNC-SAPESI Mobile Library Project 2011 LLYNC Project continues to be part of reading & library promotions in various networking relations – SAPESI Mobile Library Project. SAPESI prepares mobile-libraries from Japan for use in rural and farm schools in South Africa. This year, 2011, SAPESI hands 12 mobile libraries to various provinces in SA. These libraries are also backed-up with a shipment of reading books from several SONY companies from English-speaking countries – SONY Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UK, and Canada. LLYNC Project teams were tasked with getting this books ready for the receiving SA library destinations - using information literacy skills to determine the reading and comprehension levels, grades, currency of reference sources and encyclopedias, and the book conditions and allocation for distribution. Tasked from December 2010, January and concluding this month 21st March, 2011. We are all looking forward to the coming official handing ceremony of the 12 mobile libraries to the Department of Education this year by SAPESI.
